Each of us are in a battle, a battle for our very souls, you may not know it or believe it, but there is an enemy out to destroy us and his name is satan. I use a small “s” since I refuse to give him a proper name. He is out to destroy any and all who have given their lives to Jesus Christ—the others he already captured through their very own inaction. I am not trying to give satan more credit than he deserves but if you doubt the his attacks, take a look at Daniel 10:12-13. If the enemy can block Daniel’s prayer from being answered, where does that leave us? Keep in mind however the battle truly does belongs to the Lord! A war is not won or lost through a single or even a series of battles, and we will lose some very painful battles, but a war is only won once the enemy is finished and the victor walks away still standing. If you are not sure who steps away, please take a look at Revelations 19.
I have often reached out to others with my prayer needs, so I do not take it lightly when someone asks me to join them in prayer. I hope you feel the same way.
