Who I Am

To quote Popeye, I am what I am, nothing really more than that. Oh, I also happen to be the administrator and overall author for this website. The website address in case you missed it above is: https://ewrittenword.com.

Comments

Visitors will always see any approved comments under the pertaining post. If you wish to leave your own comment, you must first be register with the website and logged in. While the registration form requires a first and last name, only your alias will be publicly displayed. If you have any concerns about how we use any of your information, please refer to the Who We Share Your Data With section below.

When visitors leave comments on the website, the powers that be collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. I really have no control over that since this site is hosted by a web service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Not that you can actually upload files on this site but the roomful of attorneys next to me want to ensure the bases are covered.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year, although they may be a bit stale by the end of the week.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

That said, I do not plan to embed any content from other sites, but as you know, what people say are not always what people do. This disclaimer is here for that reason.

Who We Share Your Data With

No one. Period. That is unless you have submitted a prayer request in which case the request itself is shared with those individuals who are committed to pray on your behalf.

Of course I cannot control what data the host provider or government shares with anyone.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. BTW, I am currently approving them manually. However, if this becomes a chore, I may be forced to hire a monkey to press the approved button. Yes I will only hire a Union licensed monkey.

For users that register on our website (if any), the host provider also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, assuming of course that I was smart enough to turn it on …

God has something to say about every aspect of our lives: the way we feel and act in the so-called privacy of our hearts and homes, the way we make our money and the way we spend it, the politics we embrace, the wars we fight, the catastrophes we endure, the people we hurt and the people we help. Nothing is hidden from the scrutiny of God, nothing is exempt from the rule of God, nothing escapes the purposes of God. Holy, holy, holy
